Dane Cook:To my Fans

I've been really busy lately but once in a while I feel a strong urge to post and pour my heart out about how I really feel about my fans. All I've done this year is bust my ass. TOURGASM, the new CD, a book I'm putting together, my new television pilot. Sometimes I even get stressed because I've taken on so much but when I sit back and ask myself why am I doing all of this its a simple response in my brain. I love making you people laugh. When you guys email me or send a comment on myspace I read it and look back on when I started. Dreaming about building a fan base that "got me" and would offer me the opportunity to have a successful career! I wondered if I could make a living off of my thoughts. You not only enjoy what I do but you spread my comedy all over to friends and anyone that will take the time. So to every high schooler that has written saying they quote me in the halls with their classmates. Thank you. To everyone in a hospital that listened to my CD to cheer up or hold on to hope. Thank you. To college kids having "Dane listening parties" and making me a part of your college experience. Thanks. To radio DJs all over our country that played my stuff and plugged my website so more people would want to check out my show. Thank you. To every soldier in the US military that writes me and praises me for keeping them entertained and feeling closer to home by laughing. God bless and thank you all. I love fucking around and joking. Busting balls and goofing off all the time but it feels good to say it straight. Thank you for taking time out of your lives and sharing that time by listening to my stuff or seeing my live show. Comics are often seen as being "on" all the time but for real, I appreciate you all. Its been a blast and I look forward to whatever the hell is next!
